We will pick you up in Santiago in an air-conditioned van with professional driver and transport you through the Curacavi valley and Casablanca wine region to Valparaiso, a port city granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 2002.  Home to artists, poets and musicians; steep hills, cobbled streets, colored houses and even more colorful walls; and fast becoming a gastronomic destination for visitors and locals alike.

In Valparaiso, we head to the Cerro Mariposa to the kitchen of our local Chilean chef where you’ll prepare and enjoy a Chilean meal. Get hands-on as you learn new recipes and prepare a typical Chilean salsa.  Knead the dough for your Chilean empanada and prepare another traditional Chilean dish using fresh seasonal products, while the chef divulges some culinary tips and cultural insights.  After your collaborative effort, you’ll sit down to enjoy your Chilean feast accompanied by Chilean wine or Pisco Sour.

The dishes you prepare are easy to replicate at home and perfect for sharing with friends and family. After all, nothing is better following a trip than organizing a social gathering to share the foods, flavors and stories acquired during your visit to a new country.  Dishes may change seasonally and can be modified to cater to any dietary restrictions. We will then drive to the Casablanca Valley, recognized as one of the premium cool-climate wine regions of the world to enjoy a tasting of four wines with a small pairing before heading back to Santiago.
